Reflecting on my son Laksh’s inaugural robotics workshop fills me with immense pride. Witnessing him lead the event, sharing his passion with other children, was truly heartwarming. The day proved to be an enriching experience, not only for the young participants but also for their parents.
Five eager children, spanning from the youngest in UKG to the eldest in Grade 4, joined us for a day of exploration and innovation. Their unwavering focus and enthusiasm throughout the workshop were remarkable; not once did they lose interest or request snacks—they were fully immersed in the activities.
The outcomes were both surprising and uplifting. One parent, an electronics engineer and lecturer, confessed to underestimating the potential of children their age. Inspired by the workshop, she pledged to engage in similar DIY projects with her child at home.
Another parent, homeschooling their child, marveled at the level of collaboration and teaching among the young participants. It underscored the power of peer learning and the capacity of children to inspire one another.
A particularly touching moment occurred when a parent expressed a newfound admiration for their child’s capabilities after witnessing them build something from scratch. This shift in perspective prompted a desire to further support their child’s exploration of interests.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, coupled with their eagerness to participate in future events organized by Laksh, was incredibly rewarding. It highlighted the impact our efforts had on these young minds and their families.
As a parent, seeing Laksh’s passion for robotics spark inspiration in others fills me with joy. We are already planning future workshops, eager to continue nurturing the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
